CPT Markets, a leading forex and contracts for differences (CFDs) brokerage firm, has opened its first office in Larnaca, Cyprus. This strategic expansion aims to strengthen the company’s presence within the European Union.
The new office, which began operations on Friday, is headed by Ioan Mihalachi, who joined CPT Markets earlier this year as Chief Operating Officer.
Mihalachi brings over 14 years of industry experience, including his tenure as CEO of Multibank’s Cyprus unit, where he was instrumental in securing the company’s Cyprus license.
“Cyprus has always been a hub for the financial services industry,” Mihalachi stated, highlighting the strategic benefits of the new office. The primary goal is to enhance operational efficiency across all divisions of CPT Markets.
The Cyprus office starts with a team of 15 professionals covering operations, support, back office, payments, dealing, risk management, and compliance.
This expansion comes after the recent appointment of Nicholas Chantzaras as Head of Sales at CPT Markets’ FCA-regulated UK office, further strengthening the company’s sales capabilities.
