Digital prime brokerage GCEX Group has announced the appointment of FX industry veteran Jonathan Brewer as its new Chief Revenue Officer (CRO).
Jonathan Brewer, based in the UK, will focus on driving growth from institutional and professional clients across GCEX entities in the UK, Denmark, and UAE.
Jonathan Brewer’s appointment follows a challenging 2023 for GCEX Group, with revenues falling by 48% due to the “crypto winter” that led to depressed crypto trading volumes.
However, trading volumes have shown a promising uptick in 2024. Jonathan Brewer brings a robust track record in growing electronic trading businesses and deep expertise in liquidity and technology for institutional clients.
As a co-founder of IS Prime and former Commercial Director of ISAM Capital Markets, Brewer played a pivotal role in scaling the firm.
His prior experience includes senior sales and management roles at Goldman Sachs and Sucden Financial, with a focus on e-FX solutions.
