IC Markets has appointed Vasilis Sotiriou as its new Global Head of Risk. Sotiriou, an expert professional in risk management, brings with him extensive experience, having spent over three years at liquidity provider 26 Degrees.
He initially served as the Head of Risk Management before being promoted to Chief Risk Officer for the EMEA region earlier this year.
This move marks a return to IC Markets for Vasilis Sotiriou, who previously worked with the broker from 2017 to 2020. During his initial tenure, he held the position of Senior Dealer before advancing to Group Risk Manager.
His deep understanding of the financial markets and risk management strategies will likely strengthen IC Markets’ risk management framework and contribute to its ongoing growth.
