Rakuten Securities has announced a major expansion of its US stock trading service, allowing Japanese investors to trade American equities for up to 16 hours a day starting June 22.
The move introduces a new after-market trading session, enabling clients to respond more quickly to corporate earnings announcements and market-moving developments that occur after Wall Street closes.
The latest enhancement follows the company’s introduction of pre-market US trading earlier this year, which had already increased access to 12 hours daily.
